With these words I invite you all to the International conference on Radiological Emergency and Management, “ICONRADEM2019” during 9th – 11th February 2019 at Jaipur, organized by the Department of Radiological Physics, SMS Medical College and Hospitals Jaipur, India.
This conference is being organized under the auspices of AFOMP (Asia-Oceania Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics) and RUHS (Rajasthan University of Health Sciences) and is endorsed by AAP (American Association of Physicists in Medicine), IOMP (International Organization for Medical Physics), MEFOMP (Middle East Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics), INS (Indian Nuclear Society), AMPI (Association of Medical Physicists of India), and NMPAI (Nuclear Medicine Physicists Association of India).
The theme of the conference is ‘better the awareness and preparedness: better the emergency management’. There has always been concern, anxiety and fear regarding the use of ionizing radiation. This emphasizes the need for creating awareness and emergency preparedness amongst the professionals as well as the public. This conference will be a forum for disseminating information on various aspects of green and safe use of ionizing radiation, application of radiation for welfare of mankind and radiological emergency management. The conference will deal with the safety and protection aspects of the use of ionizing radiation, various radiological emergencies and emergency preparedness in case of radiological accidents. The experts in various aspects of radiological applications from across the world will share their knowledge and expertise.
